Young Farmers Day - Friday, January 30, 2026

Attention all Schools and Students!
Come on out to our YOUNG FARMERS DAY at the Islands Agriculture Show on Friday, January 30th, 2026!

Young Farmers Day allows school children to learn about farming in the community through fun activities and demonstrations. Last year,  there were displays by the Vancouver Island Regional 4-H Council,  the Raptors,  and Vancouver Island Goat Association.

This is a special invitation to schools and their students to attend for FREE as our guests - Friday, January 30th, 2026 from 9am to 2pm, at the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds.

Last year, school children discovered the wonderful world of agriculture by visiting  stations organized and provided by the Vancouver Island Regional 4-H Council. 
These activities included.
  • Garden (seed planting)
  • Poultry & Incubation ( life cycle of an egg)
  • Horse Feeding & Equipment( no actual horses)
  • A "Learn About 4-H Scavenger Hunt" 
  • 4-H Information Booth (facilitated by 4-H Ambassador
