It is great to be hosting the show in Cowichan this year! The beautiful Cowichan Exhibition Fairgrounds is centrally located on the Island and the Cowichan Valley continues its long history of supporting agriculture and the farming community. Our theme this year is “Necessity is the Mother of Innovation”. We are excited to announce our keynote speaker, Curtis Grainger, who is the Director of Lending Products and Sustainability Programs at Farm Credit Canada (FCC), where he is responsible for FCC’s Lending Products and Sustainability Programming in market. As usual, in addition to the numerous educational sessions, you can wander through the trade show featuring exhibitors who are ready to show you the latest in farm equipment, professional services, and support programs. We encourage all to attend the Welcome Reception on Friday afternoon to hear from local dignitaries, network with fellow farmers, and sample some delicious local food and beverages. In Memory of Gary D. Rolston
On behalf of the I.A.S. board of directors we would like to extend our condolences to the family of Gary Rolston.
Gary sat on the board for 2 years and will be deeply missed; we appreciate all the work that Gary did for the Islands Agriculture Show.
In memory of Gary a donation of $1000.00 will be presented to the Young Agrarians to honor Gary’s work.
